80 patients evacuated after fire breaks out in nursing home
SAN ANTONIO — 80 special needs patients had to be evacuated from a nursing home on the northeast side of town after a fire broke out in their kitchen, SAFD says. San Antonio firefighters responded to the Regent Care Center of Oakwell Farms located in the 8500 block of Laurens Lane near Harry Wurzbach Road around 10:30 p.m. Sunday for reports of a fire.

SAN ANTONIO - A man was hospitalized after a shooting at a bar downtown. The shooting happened Monday around 2 am on Austin Street near Hays Street. Police say a fight in front of the bar led to shots being fired. A man was taken to the hospital with a gunshot wound to the torso.
