Liverpool will kick off its pre-season US tour against La Liga side Real Betis at the home of the NFL's storied Pittsburgh Steelers. We've got you covered with how to follow the game .

Acrisure Stadium, more commonly known as Heinz Field, will play host to Arne Slot's side as it looks to ramp up its preparations ahead of the upcoming Premier League season. That's set to kick-off on August 17 when Liverpool takes on Ipswich Town.

However, before that, Liverpool will play a triple header of matches across the Atlantic. It starts with Real Betis tonight, followed by Arsenal and Manchester United next week.

And thankfully, Liverpool.com has picked out all of the information that you need to know ahead of the clash against Real Betis, including the kick-off time, TV details, highlights and early team news. We'll start with kick-off details for the UK and US.

    What time is kick-off?

The match kicks off in the early hours of Saturday morning for UK viewers, starting at 12:30am. That's 7:30pm Eastern Time (the local time zone for the match in Pittsburgh, PA) and 4:30pm Pacific Time for those on the west coast.

With American viewers used to antisocial kick-off times, this will be a pleasant change of pace, with UK fans getting a taste of the weekly reality for overseas supporters. This is the first time Liverpool has toured America in five years.

And after a behind-closed-doors defeat to Preston last week at the AXA Training Centre, new Reds boss Slot will be hoping to see a better performance across the pond. And for fans, it will be the first public glimpse of the new era, so it will be viewed with plenty of excitement.

    Early team news

Liverpool are without a host of key players for their opening US pre-season tour clash with Real Betis thanks to their involvement in the summer international tournaments.

Trent Alexander-Arnold , Alisson, Luis Diaz, Cody Gakpo , Joe Gomez , Alexis Mac Allister, Darwin Nunez and Virgil van Dijk will all be absent from the US tour, with Slot stating he expects them to "start after the trip when we are back in Liverpool".

While Andy Robertson has travelled to the US, he is expected to miss the pre-season tour games as he continues to recover from a minor injury he picked up at Euro 2024.

Diogo Jota , who was part of Portugal's Euro 2024 squad, has travelled to the US, but will not be involved against Real Betis. And alongside Jota, Ibrahima Konate and Ryan Gravenberch will also link up with the Reds in America too.

However, the absences of key first team players means Slot will likely go with the same players that faced off against Preston last week. As for Real Betis, Liverpool will potentially be met with a familiar face in the form of ex-Reds goalkeeper Adrian, who has recently signed for the La Liga side on a two-year deal.

And the Spanish side will likely prove a good test for Liverpool. They have recorded top flight finishes of sixth, fifth, sixth and seventh during the last four La Liga campaigns. Here's a reminder of Liverpool's initial squad for their tour of the US...
