Arne Slot has risen to the challenge of filling Jurgen Klopp's shoes at Liverpool... by bringing in a rule of his own.

Fresh from Feyenoord, the Dutchman took the helm earlier this summer and has already shaken things up, despite not yet bringing in any new faces. Per a report by The Times , Slot has introduced mandatory breakfasts for Liverpool players at the training ground, requiring players to show up by 9:15 am each morning.

The squad kicks off their day with a morning meal before diving into training and meetings - the order of which can vary -where they get quick feedback, usually within a day. Alongside his coaching team - including Sipke Hulshoff, John Heitinga, and Aaron Briggs - Slot analyzes daily training sessions to provide detailed reviews.

Slot is driven to foster improvement through these consistent team meetings, a shift that hasn't gone unnoticed by defender Conor Bradley. "We have meetings mostly every day," he said. "He wants to get his tactics embedded into us.

"So he needs to keep doing meetings to show us what we are doing well and not doing well. It makes sense. Some are short and sharp, some are longer. We didn’t really have meetings last year, only the day before the game. There’s differences from what Jurgen did and what the gaffer does now. I’m enjoying learning new things, so it’s all been really good."

Slot has expressed his gratitude for the solid foundation left by Klopp. Ahead of Liverpool's opening Premier League clash with Ipswich Town, the former Feyenoord coach is eager to capitalize on that groundwork.

The new boss said: "I said many times already: Jurgen left the team in a good place and we are trying to build from there and last season was also a season where they could win a trophy with this team.

"So, we are hoping and aiming, of course, for the same this season. It’s not going to be easy because there are a lot of good and strong teams in the Premier League that also strengthened their squads, but we are looking forward to the challenge."
