Arne Slot ripped up Jurgen Klopp's daily Liverpool schedule in bold first move

Arne Slot wasted no time making changes at Liverpool, ripping up Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool timetable that the players had been so used to.

Slot got his Liverpool reign off to the perfect start with a 2-0 victory over Ipswich Town in the club's first game of the 2024-25 Premier League season. But away from the pitch, major developments have also been made as the Dutchman looks to implement his own style and influences on the team, with some being particularly more bold than others.

And that starts with the first order of the day, with Slot . For starters, the day now starts at the precise time of 9:15am, much earlier than what it was under the German.

Workaholic Slot has also made breakfast compulsory, according to The Times , to ensure that his squad can congregate together. Under Klopp, not everyone would turn up at the same time or eat alongside each other, for that matter, but Liverpool's new boss has made sure this is not the case.

There are also frequent team meetings, the report adds, which take place either before training or at other times afterwards. Focusing on tactics and technical aspects, along with individual meetings, the players receive feedback within 24 hours of sessions on what they have and haven't been doing well.

Slot is said to watch training back every day as a result, with a thorough analysis of each player conducted throughout. It is this type of obsessive method that is setting the Dutchman apart from his predecessor at the AXA Training Center.

Reds right-back Conor Bradley says that meetings are held "mostly every day" which, while they may sound daunting for players, he admits actually "make sense".

“He wants to get his tactics embedded into us. So he needs to keep doing meetings to show us what we are doing well and not doing well," he told The Times. "It makes sense. Some are short and sharp, some are longer.

“We didn’t really have meetings last year, only the day before the game. There’s differences from what Jürgen did and what the gaffer does now. I’m enjoying learning new things, so it’s all been really good.”

While Klopp is undoubtedly one of the best managers in the world and a master at player management, the freshness of Slot's methods and way of life are also a breath of fresh air for the current squad and could provide major advantages for the season ahead.

The football-obsessed coach was most likely a relative unknown to many of Liverpool's players prior to moving to Anfield , having spent his whole managerial career in the Eredivisie, yet he is doing his best to show exactly what he's all about by making plenty impression off the field, as well as on it.
