Manchester United is ready to offload five more players before the transfer window slams shut next Friday.

The Red Devils are open to letting Jadon Sancho leave, either on loan or permanently. The 24-year-old has been reintegrated into the squad after a ten-month exile but was benched for the Community Shield clash against Manchester City and left out of the matchday squad against Fulham.

Despite suffering from an ear infection last week, United boss Erik ten Hag confirmed that Sancho was fit enough for inclusion. The winger is now entering the final two years of his contract.

Scott McTominay's future at Old Trafford remains uncertain as United continues its pursuit of Paris Saint-Germain's Manuel Ugarte . Napoli have shown interest in McTominay, but Fulham have no plans to submit another bid for the midfielder as they close in on Burnley's Sander Berge for £25million.

Fulham's final offer for McTominay, 27, was £23m, but United are holding out for at least £30m for the Scotland international. Ten Hag would be content to keep McTominay, who netted ten crucial goals last season, reports the Manchester Evening News .

Ten Hag is keen to have at least two players per position, leading to several squad members being deemed surplus to requirements. United currently boasts a 31-man squad, including 28 outfield players and rookies Toby Collyer, Ethan Wheatley and Harry Amass.

Championship frontrunners Burnley have their sights set on Hannibal Mejbri , who made his mark for United in their victory at Turf Moor last season. The 21-year-old spent the 2022-23 season honing his skills on loan with Birmingham City.

United are bracing themselves for Facundo Pellistri's permanent move to Panathinaikos. The 22-year-old was notably absent from the squad for the opening-day triumph over Fulham, largely due to advanced talks regarding his exit.

Victor Lindelof's future at United seems secure for now, despite not returning to training nearly three weeks after his half-time withdrawal during the friendly loss to Liverpool in South Carolina. United maintained that Lindelof's removal was merely precautionary, even though he was spotted using a crutch last week.

United has been actively seeking potential suitors for Lindelof, 30, given his contract expires next year and the club has brought in two new centre-backs in Leny Yoro and Matthijs de Ligt. However, Lindelof's track record of missing 21 games due to injury and illness last season, coupled with his limited pre-season play, may pose a challenge. Centre-back Will Fish is also on the verge of signing with Cardiff City.
