Trent Alexander-Arnold's post-game action following Liverpool's 3-0 victory over Manchester United could be the perfect hint over his Anfield future.

The Reds defender impressed as his side held on for a clean sheet during the game and was even unlikely not to find himself on the scoresheet after his opener was ruled out for offside after the ball was judged to have hit Mohamed Salah in the build-up.

Nonetheless, Alexander-Arnold put in a solid performance for Arne Slot's side and he followed that up with another impressive showing outside the ground after the game, much to the delight of Reds fans.

As the England international walked out of the stadium to the team bus, a video shared by The Anfield Wrap captured him holding his middle finger up to the booing Man United fans on the other side of the barriers.

The 25-year-old appears to be enjoying himself as he smiles and looks straight at the Red Devils faithful, who can only stand and watch as the Reds defender torments them on his walk.

Even Salah can't help but give a wry smile after spotting what his teammate was doing, even if he does playfully try and tell the academy graduate to pack it in and get on the team bus.

But while this video will bring plenty of joy to Reds fans, the bigger picture is far more important. Alexander-Arnold's pleasure in tormenting opposition fans following the 3-0 victory potentially signals to where his future lies beyond this season.

The right-back is out of contract at the end of the campaign but would he really be walking through a car park winding up United fans by showing them the score if he wasn't bothered about staying at the club this season?

The fact he’s clearly passionate about the club and rivalries shows where his head is at and hopefully it's a sign of good things to come. Although perhaps it's best not to make it a habit of winding up opposition fans just in case he lands himself in trouble.
