Manchester United snatch Arsenal goalkeeper with another transfer set to follow

Manchester United has secured the signing of young goalkeeper Hubert Graczyk following his exit from Arsenal .

Graczyk, who was among the players let go by Premier League team Arsenal earlier this summer, has now finalised a move to United . The 21-year-old, who has represented both Poland and England at youth level, has joined Travis Binnion's U21 squad at United.

"Buzzing to have signed for this massive club, let's get to work," he penned on Instagram. Alongside Aaron Ramsdale, who moved to Southampton, Graczyk was one of six goalkeepers to depart Arsenal over the summer. All of them have now found new clubs, with Ovie Ejeheri moving to Midtjylland, Arthur Okonkwo to Wrexham, Noah Cooper to Stoke, James Hillson to Southend and Owen Asemota to Aston Villa.

Graczyk was on the bench for United U21s' 3-1 victory over Blackburn on August 30. He is also following in the footsteps of Chido Obi-Martin, who is set to join United's academy after leaving Arsenal. Obi-Martin made headlines during the 2023/24 season, having scored an impressive 32 goals for the Gunners' U18s and was pursued by many clubs.

United has secured the promising talent but are stuck in negotiations over a much-anticipated compensation fee for the 16-year-old forward. As reported by Goal , sticky legal intricacies have put a spanner in the works, potentially leading to a tribunal to hash out the sum United owes Arsenal for nurturing his early career.

The verdict isn't in yet on Obi-Martin's transfer saga, but all signs point to him donning the Red Devils' colours once the legal hitches get ironed out.
