Arne Slot attitude towards international break shown with Liverpool training footage

Arne Slot's attitude toward the international break has been revealed in Liverpool's latest training ground footage.

The Dutchman has been left with just a handful of players for this week and the next as the majority compete for their nations in various continents around the world, although the likes of Federico Chiesa, Darwin Nunez, Curtis Jones and Joe Gomez still remain on Merseyside.

And along with a number of younger stars and academy players, Slot has managed to pull a group together for this week's training as preparations for Liverpool's return to action against Nottingham Forest next weekend continue.

But if those who have been selected for their countries thought they might have had an easy ride heading into this week, then they thought wrong. Liverpool has started the season in perfect fashion with three wins from three and it appears Slot had no intention of letting that hard work go to waste ahead of the international break.

In Liverpool's latest episode of 'Inside Training' , the Dutchman can be heard barking orders at his players and counting their passes as they compete in a game of rondo at the AXA Training Center, surrounded by numerous mini goals.

The likes of Mohamed Salah , Ryan Gravenberch and Conor Bradley can be seen fighting to win the ball in the middle of the circle, while stars including Dominik Szoboszlai , Jarell Quansah and even new signing Chiesa pass and move at lighting speed around them.

Slot can be heard encouraging his players to keep the ball as they continue to enjoy possession, before the ball is eventually intercepted by Bradley to bring the game to an end, much to the disappointment of Andy Robertson who shouts out in frustration after the ball goes out of play.

But the intensity shown from Slot is also shown in his players as they lock into the training drill, doing their best to impress the Dutchman, who clearly demands the very best from this group.

The majority have since flown out of the country to participate in various UEFA Nations League fixtures, Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers and 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in the current international break, leaving just a handful to remain.

But it can be imagined that Slot will be giving them no respite just because there are less of them, with the high standards set by the 45-year-old expected to remain in order to get everyone up to speed.
