Paul Merson has been singing praises for Liverpool's Ryan Gravenberch , who has massively contributed to the team's impeccable record this season, notching up wins in all Premier League games without letting in a single goal.

Since his transfer from Bayern Munich to Anfield in September 2023, the Dutch midfielder has grown into an invaluable asset for Liverpool . His debut season had its ups and downs, but he's hit the ground running in the 2024/25 campaign, showcasing a standout performance during Liverpool's emphatic 3-0 victory against Manchester United at Old Trafford, where he commanded the midfield battle against Erik ten Hag's setup .

Arsenal legend Merson shared his analysis of how Gravenberch has wielded influence early this season, linking his success with the calibre of Liverpool's forwards.

"Ryan Gravenberch has been outstanding so far this season, but he has to keep producing these performances," Merson told Sportskeeda . "When you’re a player like him, you also thrive due to the players in front of you. And he definitely has a dream front-three in front of him at Liverpool."

Liverpool is set for another clash on Saturday when they welcome Nottingham Forest, continuing their sprint alongside Manchester City in what appears to be shaping into a neck-and-neck title chase. The Reds stand toe-to-toe on points with Pep Guardiola's contingent and don't have another fixture with a direct title rival until they lock horns with Arsenal come October 27.

Discussing Liverpool's upcoming game, Merson commented: "I expect Liverpool to win, but this could still prove to be a difficult game. I like what I've seen from Arne Slot's men so far. If they keep all their players fit, and I said from day one, I believe they have a chance of winning the league."
