Arne Slot knows what he must do to stop AC Milan in Liverpool's next game

Most Liverpool fans are wary about the threat posed by Rafael Leao heading into the Reds' Champions League game at the San Siro - and rightly so.

Leao has emerged as one of the best wingers in Europe in recent times, registering 29 direct goal contributions last term, and the Portuguese has began this season in fine form too, with three assists and a goal from his first four appearances of the campaign.

However, he isn't the only player Liverpool will need to look out for, as Arne Slot mentioned during his press conference on Monday.

"I think he (Leao) is a top player but people always talk about the top players and not those underneath," Slot said . "We have studied his quality and he is one who catches your eye. How to stop him at his best, we defend as a team to stop the quality of Rafa Leao. They have quality players and he is one of their top players in my opinion."

Another player who Liverpool will have to watch out for is Christian Pulisic. Pulisic became something of a figure of fun during the latter period of his Chelsea career after scoring just one goal in 30 appearances during his final season at Stamford Bridge.

The winger has settled in nicely at Milan, though, having registered 26 direct goal contributions in 50 appearances in his first season with the Rossoneri.

His form over his last eight Serie A appearances for the club is even more impressive, with four goals scored and four assists registered, while he also scored for the United States in the recent draw with New Zealand.

Pulisic will turn 26 the day after Liverpool's visit to the San Siro, and he finally looks to be realising his potential. Slot and co, though, will be trying ensure his birthday celebrations are somewhat muted tomorrow.
