Andy Robertson has brutal four-word response to Ryan Gravenberch winning man of the match

Andy Robertson made sure to let Ryan Gravenberch know just what he thought of him winning the man of the match award against Wolves on Saturday.

The Reds secured a 2-1 victory thanks to goals in each half from Ibrahima Konate and Mohamed Salah , earning themselves yet another three points to take them to the top of the Premier League table following Manchester City's slip-up against Newcastle United .

Diogo Jota even grabbed himself two assists after setting up Konate for the opener before winning the penalty for Salah to convert, yet it was Gravenberch who found himself being awarded the man of the match at the end of the game.

The Dutchman has been a player transformed under Arne Slot this season after being entrusted with taking on the No. 6 role, excelling in almost every fixture so far this campaign and being rightfully rewarded for his efforts.

And after picking up his latest award following the full-time whistle at Molineux, the 22-year-old was keen to grab a picture of his latest achievement in the Liverpool dressing room, showing it off in all its glory - yet it proved too much for Robertson.

Taking to Instagram, the Scottish left-back captured a mischievous-looking Gravenberch in the act of taking a picture of the Premier League man of the match trophy, captioning the post: "Give it a rest," followed by the 'tired' emoji.

And Robertson wasn't the only one to kick up a fuss over Gravenberch's award, either, with Konate also hilariously kicking off live on Sky Sports when asked to present the trophy to his teammate at the end of their post-match interview.

It is actually only the first time this season Gravenberch has officially won the award, with Salah and Luis Diaz , unsurprisingly, leading the way with two apiece for their efforts against Ipswich and Manchester United , and Brentford and Bournemouth , respectively.

Virgil van Dijk was named man of the match for Liverpool's Champions League victory away to AC Milan , while Cody Gakpo picked up the award for his two goals in Wednesday's 5-1 thrashing of West Ham United in the Carabao Cup .

But despite this, Gravenberch has earned his fair share of plaudits for all seven games he has started this season and it's not hard to see why. Liverpool may still be on the lookout for a new defensive midfielder but Gravenberch is doing just fine in the role for now.

His performances have even earned him a starting spot in the Netherlands national team under former Everton boss Ronald Koeman, having failed to feature throughout the entirety of Euro 2024 for the Oranje.
