Liverpool secured their second victory in the Champions League on Wednesday night, defeating Bologna 2-0 at Anfield . Alexis Mac Allister gave the Reds an early lead in the first half, with Mohamed Salah adding a second in the 75th minute to secure three more crucial points.

Despite not being at their peak and narrowly avoiding conceding as Bologna created numerous opportunities, Liverpool's quality and experience ultimately prevailed. Following their comfortable 3-1 win over AC Milan in their Champions League debut, they now boast a perfect record of six points from two matches.

The Reds are comfortably positioned in the new league phase of the competition. There are some tricky tests ahead though with a reunion against Real Madrid coming up.
