Arne Slot has confirmed his Liverpool team to take on Crystal Palace, with four changes made as he looks to continue his superb start in charge .

The Reds can make it nine wins out of 10 across all competitions under their new head coach this afternoon, and secure top spot in the Premier League as we head into the international break. With both Manchester City and Arsenal playing later, it's a chance for Liverpool to make a statement to their rivals.

Slot and his players though will be all too aware of the threat Palace poses this afternoon, with April's defeat at Anfield still fresh in the mind for a lot of them.

Liverpool is without Harvey Elliott once again, with the midfielder expected to make his return later this month after fracturing his foot while on duty with England U21s. Federico Chiesa was also considered a doubt after missing training during the week, having picked up a knock in Monday's session.

Slot makes four changes from his side following Wednesday's Champions League win over Bologna, with Diogo Jota returning to the line-up as he replaces Darwin Nunez up front. Cody Gakpo is also handed his first league start of the season as he replaces Luis Diaz .

Dominik Szoboszlai is another player to make way, with Curtis Jones getting his chance to impress in midfield, while Kostas Tsimikas deputizes for Andy Robertson at left-back.

Caoimhin Kelleher misses out on a place in the squad, with Liverpool confirming the Republic of Ireland international is ill. Chiesa, meanwhile, has not recovered in time following his injury in training.

Vitezslav Jaros therefore earns a spot on the bench, with Wataru Endo also included despite falling down the pecking order since Slot's arrival.

Liverpool confirmed starting XI: Alisson; Alexander-Arnold, Konate, Van Dijk, Tsimikas; Gravenberch, Mac Allister; Salah, Jones, Gakpo; Jota.

Subs: Jaros, Gomez, Endo, Diaz, Szoboszlai, Nunez, Robertson, Quansah, Bradley.

A win for Liverpool today will see the Reds go four points clear at the top of the Premier League table ahead of Manchester City and Arsenal's games against Fulham and Southampton later.
