Liverpool's new 2025/26 home kit 'leaked' with major design U-turn and color change

A leaked Liverpool home kit for the 2025/26 season suggests it will be darker red than recent designs. Nike's contract with the Reds ends this season and Adidas is reputedly taking over as the club's new kit manufacturer.

Liverpool FC declined to comment when asked by the Liverpool ECHO about the change after Sport Business first reported they were swapping suppliers in April. However, details about new kits are now leaking online, with a new goalkeeper kit design emerging in late August.

That design featured the Adidas logo, which is light green on a black shirt, much like this season's. The new home kit leak is also red, but there appears to be a difference from Nike's designs over recent years.

Footy Headlines claims that the shirt will be darker in colour and officially called 'Strong Red'. The four Nike home kits have all been lighter than this, with the shade said to be something closer to the New Balance kits.

The logos are also said to be reverting to white to match the Standard Chartered logo after the Liver Bird and Nike logos changed to yellow on this season's shirts.

White also appears to be the only other colour on the kit, with its shoulder stripes and trim matching the logos.

They claim the design will be reminiscent of the 2006/07 home kit but without a collar. That shirt was Adidas' first after replacing Reebok in 2006.

The season was marked by Liverpool's journey to Athens, where they fell short of replicating their 2005 Istanbul triumph, suffering a 2-1 loss to AC Milan in the Champions League final.

The Reds also sported it in the subsequent season when they made it to the semi-finals - including an 8-0 thrashing of Besiktas along the way - before succumbing to Chelsea in extra time at Stamford Bridge.
