    Liverpool can extend the club’s lead atop the Premier League table following the October international break .

    Before the international break, Liverpool defeated Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park thanks to Diogo Jota ’s goal inside the opening 10 minutes. The Reds are currently top of the league thanks to the win, sitting a point clear of Manchester City and Arsenal .

    The Gunners fell 2-0 to Bournemouth on Saturday, while City travel to face Wolves on Sunday. Another three points would be massive for Arne Slot ’s team – especially considering Chelsea have impressed early in the season with the likes of Cole Palmer excelling to open the 2024-25 campaign.

    When is Liverpool vs Chelsea?

    Liverpool vs Chelsea will kick-off at 11:30 am ET (8:30 am PT/4:30 pm UK time) on Sunday, October 20 at Anfield. The two sides last met back in February, when captain Virgin van Dijk ’s late header led the Reds to victory in the League Cup final at Wembley.

    Their last clash in the Premier League was in January when the Reds moved five points clear at the Premier League summit thanks to a 4-1 win. Darwin Nunez struck the woodwork four times.

    The match will be televised live on USA Network. The game will also be streamed online via NBC.com .

    Alexis Mac Allister and Kostas Tsimikas are largely healthy after missing training this week. Alisson (thigh) and Harvey Elliott (foot) are out, while summer signing Federico Chiesa (other) and Caoimhin Kelleher (illness) are doubts.

    Meanwhile, Chelsea will be without both Marc Cucurella and Wesley Fofana (suspension). Reece James (thigh), Omari Kellyman (thigh), Levi Colwill (other), and Carney Chukwuemeka (illness) are questionable to be involved.
