MERIDIAN, Miss. (WTOK) - Georgia was predicted to win the Southeastern Conference football title in the annual preseason football media poll that was conducted last week in Dallas at SEC Media Days. Texas, Alabama, Ole Miss and LSU followed the Bulldogs in the poll. Missouri, Tennessee, Oklahoma, Texas A&M and Auburn round out the top 10. Kentucky, Florida, South Carolina, Arkansas, Mississippi State and Vanderbilt were the bottom six in the poll.

They opened up the World Series with a 8-5 win over Livingston on July 18. Cole Cleveland led Troy at the plate, going 2-for-3 with two RBIs and a run, while Elliot Cochran went 2-for-3 with an RBI.
