1 dead, 1 shot multiple times in Livingston

MERCED COUNTY, Calif. ( KSEE/KGPE ) – A man is dead and another is recovering after they were shot in Livingston late Friday night, according to the Merced County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies say just before midnight they responded to the area of Lincoln and Westside Boulevards after receiving multiple reports of a person who was shot.

Upon arrival, deputies found a man suffering from multiple gunshot wounds and say he was transported to a local hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

A short time after, authorities responded about a mile and a half away to a residence on Sunset Drive for a call regarding a gunshot victim.

When they arrived, investigators say they found a dead man.

Detectives are actively investigating the circumstances leading up to the shootings and ask anyone with any information to contact the Merced County Sheriff’s Office at 209-385-7472.
