An injury caused junior Krista Lanning to switch positions for Charyl Stockwell Academy’s volleyball team Thursday night, but it didn’t diminish her effectiveness.

Lanning sustained a bad cut on a finger three days before the match against Novi Christian, making it difficult for her to play her normal position at setter.

She moved to outside hitter, swapping positions with junior Juli Stucky, and had nine kills and four aces during the Sentinels’ 25-22, 26-28, 25-17, 25-17 victory over the Warriors.
