    The Class of 10/4: Meet The Daily's Students of the Week

    LIVINGSTON COUNTY — With the new school year in full swing, The Daily is officially launching Students of the Week.

    Each week, we'll share our list of nominations from local high school principals. The honorees will be shared online Fridays and in print Sundays.

    Meet the Class of 10/4:

    Elijah Forbord, Brighton High School

    Elijah has a GPA of 4.3797 and exemplifies academic excellence and dedication. He scored four 5s and one 3 on the Spring 2024 AP Exams, further highlighting his commitment to rigorous academic challenges and his ability to excel in them. Elijah is also a highly respected member of the Brighton High School Leadership Class, where he consistently demonstrates initiative, responsibility and a strong sense of community. He is a member of the Student Council Executive Board, playing a pivotal role in organizing events, fostering school spirit and representing his peers with integrity and enthusiasm. He serves as a role model for his peers.

    Ethan Way, Fowlerville High School

    Ethan is a senior at Fowlerville High School who excels both academically and athletically. Ethan has a 4.02 GPA and exemplifies dedication in the classroom. On the tennis court, Ethan is a three-time All-CAAC Red Player. He holds the school record for most career wins, currently standing at 72. Ethan won a regional championship as a sophomore. This year, he was voted the tennis team captain by his peers. Ethan’s accomplishments reflect his strong commitment to success and leadership both on and off the court.

    Leilani Chyo, Hartland High School

    Leilani is a hard worker with a positive attitude. She is bright, kind, and thoughtful. She always gives her best effort and deserves recognition.

    Luke Bonanni, Howell High School

    Luke has been recognized as a Commended Student in the 2025 National Merit Scholarship Program, placing him among the top 50,000 students nationwide who took the 2023 PSAT/NMSQT. His dedication to academic excellence and outstanding performance reflect both his hard work and his potential for continued success.

    Samuel Baghdadchi, Pinckney Community High School

    Sam was nominated for Students of the Week by multiple peers and teachers. Sam is a senior at PCHS. He was nominated for his kindness, enthusiasm, leadership, and sense of purpose. He goes above and beyond for the school and community, including recently launching a composting system on our school grounds. Sam also has a 4.0 GPA and earned a 1470 on the SAT.
