    Week 6 high school football roundup: Pinckney, Brighton earn key wins

    Here is a look at the Friday night football action around the area.

    Pinckney 35, Ypsilanti 27

    Henry Taube scored on a 5-yard run with 1:23 left in the game and Nolan Carruthers tacked on a two-point run to break a 27-27 tie and give Pinckney its second straight victory after a 13-game losing streak.

    Carruthers scored on a 5-yard run with 10:50 left to tie the game. Hayden Beaver sealed the victory with a late interception.

    Brighton 38, Canton 0

    Lawrence Wells had a 60-yard touchdown run and threw touchdown passes to Sebastian Boyea and Ryan Jedrusik.

    Wells threw for 137 yards and ran for 80.

    Charles Sageman had an interception return and Nate Stark a 6-yard run for Brighton's other touchdowns.
