87th Livingston 4th of July Celebration to Include Auto Show, Beer Cafe, Food Vendors and More

LIVINSTON, NJ — Livingston's Annual Auto Fest returns on Thursday along with a beer and wine garden, Kiwanis Swim Karnival, live music and more as part of the 87 th Annual Livingston 4 th of July Celebration, where various activities will be held throughout the day and into the evening for residents and visitors on or near the Livingston Memorial Oval with special events to be held at Northland Recreation Center (3 Madison Court).
The celebration kicks off at 9 a.m. with the largest Auto Show in New Jersey and culminates with te fireworks display at 9 p.m. Brought to Livingston by the Livingston 4 th of July Committee and co-produced by JamFam Productions, LLC, this more than 12-hour event has something for everyone.
The official annual welcome ceremony begins at 9 a.m. at the Mervyn V.T. Haines Community Pool on Wahler Road and is followed by a children’s swim carnival sponsored by Livingston Kiwanis. The largest July 4th Car Show in New Jersey also kicks off at 9 a.m. in the Livingston High School parking lot.
Between 12 p.m. and 3 p.m., attendees will find free kids’ pony rides, 9-hole mini golf, and a giant Connect 4 game on the Oval. At 12:30 p.m., younger kids will enjoy the Powerhouse Studios Hocus Pocus Magic Show, following which older kids can participate in the Wild & Wacky Show. The traditional 4 th of July ice cream-eating contest will take place at 2:30 p.m.
From 12 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., families can also enjoy inflatables, a rock wall, hatchet throwing, a bungee jump and a 250-foot zip line along with food trucks and vendors on the Oval during the afternoon and evening.
At Northland Recreation Center, cricket games will be held from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m., and Pickleball will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. There will also be food trucks at that location as well as a free shuttle offering transportation between Northland and the Oval.
The beer & wine garden opens at 3 p.m. with two live bands: Brian Drux Project and Livingston Leo & The Goodhart Boyz. From 3 p.m. to 7:30 p.m., attendees can also enjoy a rolling video games truck and a race car simulator.
As the beer & wine garden winds down, attendees are encouraged to find a spot for their blanket or chair on the Oval and prepare for the day’s grand finale. At 7:30 p.m., main stage entertainment will be provided by “We May Be Right” — a Billy Joel Cover Band — followed by the township’s annual fireworks spectacular.
