LIVONIA (WWJ) — Buca di Beppo, the Italian restaurant chain well-known for its family-style meals, has reportedly abruptly closed multiple locations across the country, including two in Metro Detroit.

The Buca di Beppo restaurants in Livonia and Utica are permanently closed, according to Google listings, and are no longer listed on the chain’s website .

The Livonia restaurant was located on 6 Mile Road between I-275 and Haggerty road for more than 25 years. It closed last week, according to The Detroit Free Press.

The Utica location on Hall Road appears to have closed sometime in June. WWJ’s Jonathan Carlson reported a drive past the Utica location showed the restaurant has been stripped of its signature signage.

The Buca di Beppo chain is under the same brand ownership — Florida based Earl Enterprises — as Guy Fieri’s Chicken Guy restaurants that recently shuttered in Metro Detroit.

The news of the Metro Detroit closings come as other Buca di Beppo locations across the country also closed, including restaurants in Sacramento, Florida, Pennsylvania and New York.
