Big Changes Coming to Olive Garden and Michiganders Aren’t Happy
The CEO of Olive Garden's parent company just doubled down on a decision that is leaving customers with a bad taste in their mouths. All around the country restaurants are hurting. As people are staying home more to spend less money, national chains are feeling the burn. Not to mention, inflation has increased the price of operation for the restaurants. Many restaurants around the country have started discounting their meals to bring their main customer base back into the stores. Olive Garden is owned by Darden Restaurants. The CEO of Darden, Rick Cardenas has come out publically with a big fat NO to that strategy. Instead, they have decided to increase their prices...again.
Changes To ACT Test For Michigan High Schoolers Coming In 2025
I remember being in elementary and middle school preparing for the ACT that I would have to take in my junior year of high school. My classmates and I were told that the skills we were learning from 3rd-10th grade would accurately prepare our brains for one of the most important tests of our lives. Well, they couldn't be more wrong since the state of Michigan switched to the SAT during my sophomore year of high school.
Michigan Native’s Unique National Anthem Overshadows Home Run Derby
The Home Run Derby is one of the most exciting events in all of sports, its comparable to the 3-point shootout, the dunk contest, hockey shootout, penalty kicks, and other all-star/ skill competitions that take place in sports. Both die-hard and casual baseball fans turn their heads and give their undivided attention to the MLB Home Run Derby and celebrate all of the moonshot mania that occurs. I would say this year's Derby was no different but that couldn't be farther from the truth.

In August, Detroiters will be asked to vote to extend, for another decade, a Detroit Public Library millage that generates the vast majority of its operating budget. I Prevail – Credit Union One Amphitheater
Detroit Local band aka I Prevail just came to Credit Union One Amphitheater and burned the house down with their talent! As someone who grew up in Michigan and watched these guys play tiny basement shows to now co-headlining an amphitheater is absolutely huge and shows how much hard work and dedication can really pay off! The band of course would not stop thanking their fans for being the reason they are able to tour and be a band for the last 10 years! They also of coursed talked about the famous cover of Blank Space that went viral and how thankful that their fans who found them because of that cover are still here to this day and supporting them since then! I also loved seeing Lizzy Hale of Halestorm coming out and performing their new song, “Can You See Me In The Dark” live! It was absolutely incredible and honestly sounded just like the recording that I listen to from Spotify! I Prevail of course made jokes about liking different hockey teams and other various sports but at the end of the day, they wouldn’t be here without all the fans! If you can, I highly recommend seeing IPrevail, Halestorm, Hollywood Undead, and Fit For A King on this current summer tour!
