In the wake of Hurricane Debby, disaster relief groups work together for Florida's recovery
With the passing of Hurricane Debby over the state of Florida earlier this month, volunteer organizations across the state are winding down their recovery efforts. "Hurricane Debby caused an estimated $12.6 billion in damages throughout the Southern United States," said Petra Kronburger, the Executive Director for the Volunteer Ministers Florida. "The rain and wind caused tens of millions of dollars in damage in Florida. People need help to get their homes back in order and it really takes every relief organization to set things back to rights – we are glad we could have a part."
Style wins, Pinellas County children benefit at 20th annual Fashions with Flair Fashion Show
The Clearwater Community Volunteers (CCV), has announced that tickets are still available for the annual Fashions with Flair Fashion Show and Silent Auction. The event will take place on Saturday, September 14th at the historic Fort Harrison in Clearwater, Florida. The event begins at 12:00pm and ends at 3:00pm. A gourmet lunch, raffle drawings, a silent auction and a fashion show are on the agenda.
Church of Scientology alleviates school supply worries with Back-to-School event
CLEARWATER, FL – On August 9th, nearly 300 children and their parents visited the downtown Clearwater humanitarian centers sponsored by the Church of Scientology Flag Service Organization. While visiting the centers, children were provided with the schools supplies they need to get the year off to a good start.

CLEARWATER, FL — On July 27, thousands of kids and parents descended upon the Bullard Family Foundation Back-to-School Bash at Raymond James Stadium. Picking up school supplies, getting medical screenings and free haircuts, families also were given The Truth About Drugs.

588th Army Air Force Squadron Acknowledged as Part of Fort Harrison’s History

The Way to Happiness Association Tampa Bay Attack Litter, Inspires Care for the Environment
67 volunteers from The Way to Happiness Association collected more than 200 pounds of litter during their monthly cleanup of the Pinellas Trail on Saturday January 27th. On Saturday January 27th, 67 volunteers from The Way to Happiness Association Tampa Bay took to the Pinellas Trail to rid the trail of unsightly trash and thereby safeguard the environment. Nearly 200 pounds of trash, including discarded watches, swimming goggles and socks.

Winter Wonderland Wraps Up 30 Years of Making Memories
