QCAWC announces recycling, calendar promotions

The Quad Cities Animal Welfare Center (QCAWC) has two upcoming events for local animal lovers.

CIMCO Paws to Recycle BONUS Give Back Day is Saturday, August 24th, from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m. Cimco Recycling Milan, 1709 First Avenue East, has a deal for people who are dropping off recyclables. People dropping off items can donate the proceeds to QCAWC. Cimco Recycling Milan, Inc. will give extra cash if people choose to donate to QCAWC during the event.

The second annual QCAWC Pet Photo Calendar Contest is now taking submissions. Pet parents are not only vying to have their furry friends featured in the 2025 calendar, but there’s a chance to win prizes. This year, entrants can choose their favorite day of the year and have their pet’s photo place on the calendar.
