Muscatine reducing traffic to 1 lane for work

Drivers in Muscatine will need to slow down when driving through part of the city this week.

An email from the city says E. Ninth Street/Washington Street will be reduced to one lane of traffic starting Monday, August 19 to replace the box out at an address in the 1100 block of E. Ninth Street. This is the eastbound driving lane in front of Ralph’s Auto.

Drivers are asked to alternate using the one lane open to traffic when driving past this area and watch for construction workers. The project is expected to be finished on or before Friday, August 23, weather permitting.
