    QC International Airport holds TSA precheck event

    The Quad Cities International Airport and IDEMIA , a TSA PreCheck enrollment provider, are holding a TSA PreCheck enrollment event now through August 30. Travelers will be able to enroll at 2200 69 th Avenue in Moline (the airport terminal), now through August 30. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., and 1-5 p.m. The program is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals and lawful permanent residents.

    Applicants must provide proof of identity and citizenship, fingerprints and a photo. Filling out the online application makes the process smoother.

    Registration is recommended to shorten the wait time, but walk-ups will be accepted as time allows. Enrollees should select Pop-Up: MLI as their location and choose a timeslot on the registration website .

    Most passengers will receive their Known Traveler Number (KTN) within three to five days. This number must be added to flight reservations to receive TSA PreCheck benefits, including.

    • Shorter wait times at security checkpoints
    • Keeping shoes and belts on
    • Not having to unpack laptops or compliant liquids
    • Children 12 and under can join a parent/guardian with TSA PreCheck
