QC International Airport holds TSA precheck event

The Quad Cities International Airport and IDEMIA , a TSA PreCheck enrollment provider, are holding a TSA PreCheck enrollment event now through August 30. Travelers will be able to enroll at 2200 69 ^th Avenue in Moline (the airport terminal), now through August 30. Hours of operation are 9 a.m. – 12 p.m., and 1-5 p.m. The program is open to U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals and lawful permanent residents.

Applicants must provide proof of identity and citizenship, fingerprints and a photo. Filling out the online application makes the process smoother.

Registration is recommended to shorten the wait time, but walk-ups will be accepted as time allows. Enrollees should select Pop-Up: MLI as their location and choose a timeslot on the registration website .

Most passengers will receive their Known Traveler Number (KTN) within three to five days. This number must be added to flight reservations to receive TSA PreCheck benefits, including.

• Shorter wait times at security checkpoints
• Keeping shoes and belts on
• Not having to unpack laptops or compliant liquids
• Children 12 and under can join a parent/guardian with TSA PreCheck
