    Pay What You Want at QC Botanical Center this weekend

    Check out the Quad City Botanical Center over Labor Day weekend and Pay What You Want.

    The botanical center is letting guests pay what they want for admission, from Friday, August 30 to Monday, September 2. They hope the admission deal with allow more members of the public to see the center’s exhibits.

    Everyone is encouraged to visit during general admission hours of 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. The hours for Monday, September 2 (Labor Day) are 10 a.m.-2 p.m. General admission is normally $9 for adults 16 and older, $6 for youth ages 2-15 and toddlers under age two get free admission. Botanical Center members also receive free admission.

    There’s plenty of summer highlights for visitors to enjoy at the Botanical Center, including the adventurous water play area in the Children’s Garden with a new Storybook Landscapes exhibit, the Garden Glass exhibit featuring glass art created by local artists at Hot Glass, colorful perennial and wildflower prairie gardens that attract butterflies, a whimsical fairy wonderland called Pat’s Garden, reflection ponds and an indoor Tropical Sun Garden with a waterfall.

    The garden train railway exhibit will be open and trains will run on Saturday and Sunday of Pay What You Want, weather permitting. Participants can pick up scavenger hunt lists at Guest Services.
