Iron Tee Golf Gala raising funds for Ronald McDonald House

Golfers have a new way to enjoy their favorite pastime and raise money for a great cause next month.

Ronald McDonald House Charities of Eastern Iowa & Western Illinois (RMHC-EIWI) is holding the inaugural Golf Gala fundraiser on Tuesday, September 17 from 5 – 8 p.m. at Iron Tee Golf, 6609 Iron Tee Way in Bettendorf. Golfers can sign up for time slots at 5-6:30 p.m. or 6:30-8 p.m.

Iron Tee Golf is for golfers of all skill levels and designed for participants to compete in a high-tech golf game. Non-golfers are welcome to enjoy the fundraiser as an evening of socializing, food and drinks. Proceeds benefit RMHC-EIWI and its Ronald McDonald House and organizers hope to make the fundraiser an annual event.

The Ronald McDonald House provides free lodging for families traveling 20 miles or more away, with children ages 21 and under who are receiving medical care. On average, 75 families from the Quad Cities area stay at the Ronald McDonald House in Iowa City while their children receive medical care at UI Stead Family Children’s Hospital and other regional providers every year.
