    Man arrested for weapons, meth, after QC MEG investigation

    A man has been arrested after a weapons investigation by QC MEG and the Rock Island Police Department Emergency Response Team.

    A news release from QC MEG says agents concluded a weapons investigation on Friday, August 30 at about 6 a.m. The investigation led to the arrest of John R. Miller on three counts of unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon, possession of a stolen firearm, possession of ammunition by a felon and possession of methamphetamine.

    Miller was also the subject of an active nationwide arrest warrant with no bond in Scott County. He is currently on probation for possession with intent to deliver methamphetamine and fleeing and eluding. He is awaiting an initial hearing on the charges.
