    Sterling man arrested on cannabis charges

    A Sterling man has been arrested on charges related to possession and delivery of cannabis.

    The Illinois State Police (ISP) Blackhawk Area Task Force (BATF) arrested Dakota L. Bottoms, 29 of Sterling on Wednesday, September 25 on charges of Delivery of Cannabis, a Class 3 Felony, Delivery of Cannabis, a Class X Felony, Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Deliver, a Class 1 Felony and Possession of Cannabis with Intent to Deliver, a Class 2 Felony.

    Dakota Bottoms (Illinois State Police)

    Bottoms was released on pre-trial conditions and is awaiting an initial appearance in Whiteside County Court. ISP-BATF, the Sterling Police Department, United States Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) Scott County (IA) Special Operations Unit (SOU), and Rock Island Police Department conducted the investigation.
