Golfers at Saukie Golf Course will soon be able to enjoy a brand new clubhouse and indoor golf simulator for year-round play.

The City of Rock Island is breaking ground on a new clubhouse at Saukie Golf Course, 3108 38 th Street, on Tuesday, October 1 at 11 a.m. The new clubhouse will have improved amenities and be open to both golfers and members of the public.

The new clubhouse’s design will preserve the golf course’s historical significance while providing modern facilities like a meeting space, seating areas, an office, kitchen and dining area, and outdoor seating with views of the course. It will offer a more welcoming and fully accessible starting and ending point for golfers, while providing year-round space for recreational and learning opportunities with an indoor golf simulator.
