    Galesburg High School Interact Club collecting personal care items at upcoming games

    Fans attending the Galesburg Streaks games against Quincy (football) or Rock Island (volleyball) on Thursday, October 3 can help people in need around the world.

    The Galesburg High School Interact Club is collecting items for personal care kits that will be used for impoverished and refugee people worldwide on Thursday, October 3 at the home varsity volleyball game in Thiel Gymnasium at 7 p.m. and the home varsity football game at F&M Stadium, also at 7 p.m.

    Items must all be new and in original packaging. Items in need include:

    • lightweight bath towels,
    • bars of soap,
    • adult toothbrushes,
    • sturdy combs,
    • metal nail clippers.

    Cash donations will also be accepted. The Galesburg High School Interact Club is sponsored by The Noon Rotary Club, which has been working with Galesburg High students for over 20 years.
