Accused Davenport embezzler is Blue Grass Township clerk

We’re learning more about the Davenport woman who was arrested on Sunday on charges that she embezzled over $275,000 while she worked as a controller for Mid-American Glass.

Erika Platt is listed as a clerk with the Blue Grass Township , with a term that expires in 2026. Our Quad Cities News talked with a Blue Grass Township trustee, who said the Scott County Sheriff’s Office contacted him in the beginning of September to review the township’s records. At the time, the trustee found no evidence of embezzlement from the township.

A social media page that appears to be connected to Platt lists other employers besides the township and Mid-American Glass and shows photos from a recent trip to Hawaii.

Platt remains in the Scott County Jail on a cash-only bond of $75,000.
