Shortly before 1:30 a.m. Sept. 11, Davenport Police responded to an address on West 52nd Street for a disturbance.

A witness saw Votroubek strike a victim several times throughout the body with a plastic tube. “The victim has two amputated legs and was intentionally immobilized by (Votroubek)” prior to the assault, according to arrest affidavits.

Votroubek admitted that she is the caretaker of the victim, who was transported to MercyOne Genesis for medical evaluation.

Votroubek, who was arrested Thursday on a warrant, was released on her own recognizance to appear Nov. 7 in Scott County Court.

A Class C felony, upon conviction, is punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
