About two hours after they responded to a report of gunfire, Davenport Police remained on the scene Monday night.

Our Quad Cities News crew saw a Crime Scene Technician vehicle and multiple squad cars and officers in the area of the 1500 block of Gaines Street at 10:30 p.m.

According to the Monday night City of Davenport Mailer, which lists automated calls for service, the report of gunfire in the area came in at 8:37 p.m.

We do not know whether anyone was injured or whether property was damaged. We will remain in contact with police to provide details when they become available.
