Buffalo man faces charges involving child

A 26-year-old Buffalo man is in custody after Buffalo Police say he went into a home and tried to coerce a child into sexual abuse, according to court records.

Evonta Streat-Nicholson faces a felony charge of second-degree burglary, an aggravated-misdemeanor charge of sexual abuse, and a serious misdemeanor of lascivious acts with a minor- disrobe, court records show.

On Aug. 28, shortly before 12:30 a.m., Buffalo Police say Streat-Nicholson went into a home on in Buffalo and tried to coerce a child into kissing him and to disrobe.

During the incident, “the residence was occupied by multiple individuals,” arrest affidavits say.

Streat-Nicholson,who was arrested Monday on a warrant, was being held Tuesday on a cash-only bond of $15,000 in Scott County Jail. He is scheduled for a preliminary hearing Oct. 25 in Scott County Court.
