Bettendorf Community Band hosting Fall Concert

Enjoy music by members of the local community at a free fall concert from the Bettendorf Community Band.

The Bettendorf Community Band is holding its free Fall Concert on Friday, October 25 at 7 p.m. at St. John’s Methodist Church, 109 E. 14th Street in Davenport. The concert includes 50 musicians performing a variety of songs ranging from Sousa marches to opera pieces that spotlight the group’s versatility and depth.

“We are excited to begin our 57th season with such a vibrant and varied program,” said Thomas Knowles, Music Director. “Our goal is to celebrate the rich history of band music and entertain our audience with a repertoire that spans a wide array of musical genres.”

The Bettendorf Community Band began in 1967 and consists of dozens of musicians who rehearse weekly and perform several concerts every year. The band offers a welcoming environment where musicians of varying skill levels can develop, broaden and express their musical abilities through rehearsal and performance.
