Two injured by Davenport gunfire

On Saturday, Oct. 19 at approximately 12:29 a.m., the Scott Emergency Communications Center received a report of a subject injured by gunfire while driving in a vehicle in an unknown location in Davenport, a press release says.

While officers were responding, additional information was received stating a second individual in the vehicle was also injured by gunfire.

The victims met officers in the parking lot of Modern Woodman Park. Upon arrival, officers located a 27 year old male suffering from a non life-threatening gunshot wound and a 26 year old female suffering from serious gunshot wounds.

Both individuals were transported to a local hospital for medical treatment.

The incident remains under investigation.
