A Davenport mother makes a desperate plea to the community to help her find her daughter, who’s been missing since Wednesday.

Olivia Harrison, who is 5 feet four inches tall and weighs 120 pounds, was wearing “Nightmare Before Christmas” pajamas, with orange and purple-striped sleeves and a character on the front, the last time her family saw her.

Olivia likes to walk, and may have headed toward the downtown area near the Skybridge or the river. She also enjoys walking the bike path.

On Tuesday, she was nowhere to be found. Delitha Burrage last saw her daughter, 24-year-old Olivia Harrison, on Oct. 16.

“When I last saw her, it was before everyone went to bed,” she said.

It was a normal night until Olivia’s sister came downstairs and asked where Olivia was. Olivia’s mother, brother and sister called Olivia’s phone. At first, it rang and rang, then eventually went to voicemail.

“She did say she wanted to get some air before that. but like I told her, it’s late. don’t leave the house without letting us know where you’re going,” her mother said. “Next thing you know she had left the house.”

The family is especially worried because Olivia wasn’t in a good frame of mind. “She wasn’t in a good mental state,” her mother told Our Quad Cities News. “She was struggling a bit with anxiety and depression and everything.”

Still, her mother says, Olivia was excited about the prospect of college courses and possibly pursuing a trades job, like welding: “She was excited about starting college courses and looking for a job. she had just recently come back home from staying out with her biological father. when she came back, she just wasn’t the same. she was having some complications as far as mental health goes.”

And now the family prays for answers while they drive around, distributing fliers and seeking help from the community.

“She’s never just let the house and not come back home,” her mother said.

    The whole family misses Olivia.

“She has a beautiful smile. She’s a kindhearted person,” her mother said. “She’s like our little ray of sunshine.”

Olivia may have headed toward the downtown Davenport area, where she liked to walk in the area of the Skybridge and the fishing area of the Mississippi River. Additionally, she enjoys walking the bike path.

Her mother says Olivia has a determined walk: “She’s kind of a forward-walking person, kind of like she’s really moving. she’s adamant about getting where she’s trying to get to.”

Now the family asks the whole Quad Cities to help, so once again, they can see their beloved Olivia walk in the door.

If you see Olivia Harrison, call 9-1-1.
