(FOX40.COM) — A victim of a double fatal plane crash in Alpine County on Friday has been identified as a police volunteer with the Lodi Police Department.

On Saturday, the Lodi Police Department shared on Facebook that Nannette Singer was one of the two victims killed in the Wednesday plane crash.

“Nannette was a dedicated police volunteer, retired educator and devout Catholic,’ the police department wrote. “The men and women of the Lodi Police Department extend our heartfelt condolences to Nannette’s husband Sam, her daughter Gabrielle and her family and friends.”

The plane that Nannette crashed in was located in the Sierra Nevada near Luther Pass after the plane was reported overdue.

Using the planes GPS transponder, deputies with the Alpine County Sheriff’s Office were able to locate the plane off of Willow Creek Road.

Nannette and the other passenger, that has yet to be identified, were pronounced dead at the scene.
