Cooling center provides seating, water and air-conditioning. Elk Grove, Calif.- With daily temperatures soaring into the triple digits, the City of Elk Grove and Cosumnes Community Services District has opened a cooling center operating daily from Noon to 8 p.m. through Sunday, July 7 at the Wackford Community Complex at 9014 Bruceville Road. Operating dates may be extended if similar conditions persist next week.
