Wadsworth destination playground nears halfway point of construction
WADSWORTH — Wadsworth’s new destination playground at Memorial Park is nearing the halfway point of its construction phase. The playground phase, an early part of the larger Memorial Park improvement project, began in late April after the demolition of the Kaleidoscope playground. Wadsworth Interim Service Director Matt Hiscock said the playground completion date may be sooner than expected.

CLEVELAND, Ohio – Following the launch of the new Office of Small Business, Cuyahoga County is taking extra steps to support women- and minority-owned shops. Executive Chris Ronayne has proposed spending up to $3.4 million dollars over the next two years to create a Small Business Program focusing on helping more women or minority entrepreneurs start or grow their businesses. The money would go to one of six providers that would then either provide participants with technical assistance or loans.

License-plate-reading cameras help Middleburg Heights police arrest wanted man, wanted woman
MIDDLEBURG HEIGHTS, Ohio – A wanted Eastlake man, 50, and a wanted Cleveland woman, 44, were arrested at about 2 p.m. July 16 on Pearl Road. Middleburg Heights police were alerted – through a system of license-plate-reading cameras posted at various intersections – that a Mazda was entering town. The Mazda’s owner, the Eastlake man, was wanted for a felony offense.
