When the Cowboys signed Carl Lawson to a contract last week, in part as a response to the season-ending knee injury suffered by Sam Williams, the team was taking a bit of a gamble. Lawson has shown talent as a pass rusher when the situation is right, but he has frequently found himself in bad situations, especially with injuries. And last year, when he lost his job with the Jets in the final season of a three-year, $45 million contract, he did not handle the demotion well and the team simply stopped playing him.
Navarro County Issues Alert for Wanted Individual
NAVARRO COUNTY, Texas - Navarro County authorities have issued an alert for Kevin Patrick Sparks, wanted for causing intentional bodily injury to a child, elderly, or disabled person. Sparks, last known to reside at 1436 W 4th Ave in Corsicana, has been on the radar of law enforcement since 2024. "Kevin Patrick Sparks is a person of interest in a serious crime, and we are seeking the public's assistance to locate him," stated a spokesperson for Navarro County Crime Stoppers. Community members with information on Sparks' whereabouts are encouraged to contact Crime Stoppers at 903-874-TIPS (8477). Tips can also be submitted anonymously online at www.p3tips.com/1464 or via the P3Tips app. Informants may be eligible for a cash reward if their information leads to Sparks' arrest.

TYLER, Texas (KLTV) - The Tyler ISD Board of Trustees listened to some updates on the proposed golf training facility near RISE Academy. Construction Project Manager for the Tyler ISD Facility Services Department Cherie Jones said construction would include a 1,927 square foot building, 14 hitting bays, a putting and bunker area, five raised target greens, and 20-foot netting.
