Girls flag football brackets released for Section 1 tournament

The path to states has officially been mapped out.

Section 1 on Tuesday released Division I and Division II seeds and playoff brackets for girls flag football. And for the eventual sectional champions, there will be a regional game and perhaps a berth in the first-ever state championship next month in Cortland.

Scarsdale earned the No. 1 seed in Division 1 and Brewster is the No. 1 seed in Division 2.

Division 1

QUARTERFINALS

No. 8 Greeley at No. 1 Scarsdale

No. 5 Carmel at No. 4 Mahopac

No. 6 Yonkers at No. 3 New Rochelle

No. 7 Clarkstown at No. 2 Yorktown

SCHEDULE

Quarterfinals: Saturday, May 11

Semifinals: Wednesday, May 15

Finals: Saturday, May 18 at Lakeland H.S., 12 p.m.

Division 2

FIRST ROUND

No. 9 Byram Hills at No. 8 Irvington

No. 10 Panas at No. 7 Somers

QUARTERFINALS

Byram Hills/Irvington winner at No. 1 Brewster

No. 5 Peekskill at No. 4 Eastchester

No. 6 Hen Hud at No. 3 Tappan Zee

Panas/Somers winner at No. 2 Lakeland

SCHEDULE

First round: Thursday, May 9

Quarterfinals: Saturday, May 11

Semifinals: Wednesday, May 15

Finals: Saturday, May 18 at Lakeland High School, 2 p.m.
