A 58-year-old woman was fatally struck by a car Saturday night while she was crossing a road in Elmsford.

Elmsford Police Chief Thomas Proscia said Mary Nieciecka, 58, was crossing West Main Street near Eldorado Diner when a car struck her. Proscia said she was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the vehicle remained on scene and cooperated with police, according to Proscia. The driver is facing no charges at this time as the incident is still under investigation.
