See who coaches and players are picking to win Section 1 football championships

With so many impact players graduating, there are not many clear favorites to win Section 1 championships this season. It could be a couple of weeks before we have some idea who the top programs are in each class, but just for fun, we did a casual poll during the Section 1 Football Coaches Association Media Day at Mahopac High School on Tuesday.

There were nearly 40 schools on hand for the event.

We asked coaches and players to rank the best three teams within their respective classifications. They were allowed to vote for their own schools. We ranked the schools based on a 3-2-1 points system. Here is the end result:
