    Boys soccer: Who are you picking for lohud Player of the Week?

    We're already a week into the new season and are spotlighting the best performances from the past week. Read what our lohud Boys Soccer Player of the Week got accomplished then vote for the player who had the biggest impact. We'll post the winner later this week on social media.

    Last week's scoreboard: Rye gets a late goal to drop Spring Valley; Somers gets into the win column

    Harrison Boyd, Byram Hills

    The senior forward scored twice, giving the Bobcats a 2-1 win over another Class A contender, Somers, in the season-opener.

    Umaru Conteh, Peekskill

    The senior forward netted a pair of goals in a 2-1 win over Lakeland to open the season and scored two more in a 3-0 win over Harrison.

    Jake De La Parra, Eastchester

    The senior forward found the back of the net twice, propelling the Eagles to a 3-1 statement win over Somers in the season-opener.

    Kenneth Mejia Lopez, Fox Lane

    The senior midfielder pour in four goals, leading the Foxes to a 4-0 season-opening win over rival John Jay-Cross River.

    Joseph Pecoraro, Pleasantville

    The junior goal keeper stood tall in a 1-1 draw against Westlake in a Mount Pleasant Cup semifinal, then stopped three penalty kicks to help the Panthers advance.

    Kaden Zion, Rye

    The senior forward notched a hat trick, lifting the Garnets to a 3-2 win over Spring Valley in the opener with a goal in the 64 minute.
