    Football: Westlake impresses at Pearl River, improves to 3-0; Iona Prep adds to win streak

    Picks: Here are the lohud football previews and predictions for Sept. 27-28

    FRIDAY

    Hen Hud 54, Irvington 28

    HH: Joey Abboud completed 7 of 15 passes for 66 yards and three touchdowns. He ran 10 times for 68 yards and one TD. Justin Parkes fot 98 yards and two touchdowns on 10 carries and caught four passes for 44 yards and three TDs. Eric Selvaggi finished with 57 yards and one touchdown on 11 carries, made four tackles and picked off a pass. Jack Hiltsley collected seven tackles and two interceptions and Salpreme Taylor returned a kickoff 88 yards for a score.

    Arlington 28, John Jay-East Fishkill 21

    Scarsdale 35, Suffern 14

    Sc: Ryan Gilligan visited the end zone on three separate occassions. Alex Krupkin and Nicholas Ebner Borst also had rushing TDs and Richard Lohse was 5 for 5 on PATs. The Raiders are now 3-0 and have two wins against ranked opponents.

    Sf: Jeph Joseph had 128 yards and two touchdowns. Mason Polombo threw for 192 yards and was intercepted once. Jake Tarrant had 87 yards receiving.

    North Rockland 49, New Rochelle 12

    NRk: Chase Perini had a day, completing 12 of 17 attempts for 293 yards and three touchdowns. Jaquan Johnson got into the end zone four times, finishing with 80 yards on 15 carries and 31 yards on two receptions. Michael Garofol-Heavner caught three passes for 121 yards and got five tackles and one interception on the other side of the ball.

    Mount Vernon 42, White Plains 14

    MV: Deshawn Terry came through with 264 yards and two touchdowns on 20 carries. Chase White completed 6 of 9 passes for 145 yards and three TDs. He also picked up 48 yards on four carries. Dwight Findlay had three catches for 51 yards and one touchdown. He also made five tackles and picked off two passes. Tavien Tyler had two catches for 93 yards and one TD and made four tackles. Jarrell Middlebrook delivered nine tackles, five for a loss, and Edward Ababio had nine tackles, three for a loss. Jasten Johnson made six tackles and had a Pick 6.

    Harrison 7, Clarkstown North 0

    H: Michael Olsey picked up 75 yards on 13 carries and Dante Lanza added 70 yards and one TD on 11 carries. The Huskies have won three straight and have only given up 20 points in that span.

    Lakeland 28, Panas 13

    Nanuet 28, Pelham 7

    Nt: Evan Moran carried for 116 yards and Vincent Duffy ran for three touchdowns. Ford Banton caught an 18-yard TD pass from Paul Peterson along with a two-point conversion. Ryan Kempf made eight tackles and Zeaniel Estephane came up with six tackles. Michael Diffley registered a sack.

    Bronxville 33, Byram Hills 0

    Bx: Davis Patterson went big, finishing with 128 yards and four touchdowns on 14 carries. He also caught a TD pass. Theo McMurray completed 6 of 8 passing attempts for 108 yards. Thomas Freeman had one catch for 56 yards.

    Somers 49, Fox Lane 12

    So: Miguel Iglesias completed 12 of 13 passes for 205 yards and three touchdowns. He added 84 yards and two touchdowns on six carries. The Tuskers were up 35-0 at the half. Mason Kelly delivered 126 yards and two TDs on 17 carries and Dean Palazzolo finished with four receptions for 104 yards and one touchdown. Matt Mayfield and Tristan Iglesias each had one receiving TD.

    FL: John Czernyk threw for 240 yds and one touchdown. He also ran for a TD. Mac Keller had six catches for 85 yards, Will Rudolph had six receptions for 47 yards and Declan Connors had a 63 yards receiving and one TD.

    Tappan Zee 38, Greeley 13

    TZ: Aedan Toapha picked up 97 yards and three touchdowns on a dozen carries. Tommy Kivelhan completed 8 of 14 attempts for 148 yards and one touchdown. Jack Piccione caught six passes for 100 yards and one TD. Tynan Murray had a Pick 6 and Avery Roimisher connected on a 37-yard field goal.

    HG: Julian Asch threw a pair of touchdown passes to Jameson Blakeslee.

    Valhalla 47, Briarcliff/Hamilton 10

    Val: The Vikings piled up 564 yards and five touchdowns on the ground. Luke Foisett gained 164 yards on 10 carries, Bryan Moulard finished with 102 yards and two touchdowns on four carries, Josh Bergey totaled 104 yards and one TD on four carries, Jake Dinatle got 101 yards and one touchdown on 10 carries and Tyler Ratti had 67 yards and one TD on four carries. Brayden McGinty had one completion, a 5-yard touchdown pass to Brady Teter and Danny Lynch collected six tackles and two sacks.

    St. Anthony's 34, Stepinac 6

    AS: John Smith got into the end zone following a 35-yard run with 9:26 to go in the third quarter to make it a 27-6 deficit. The Crusaders fell to 0-5 on the season.

    Yorktown 49, John Jay-Cross River 14

    Yk: Kaden Gonzalez completed 11 of 18 passes for 250 yards and four touchdowns. Tyler Galante had four receptions for 76 yards and one TD. He also returned a kick 68 yards and made four tackles. Joe Hunter delivered 102 yards and two touchdowns on six carries. He also made five tackles. Tyler Caricati got 98 yards and one TD on 10 carries and caught two passes for 39 yards. Johann Moeritz had two receptions for 55 yards and a pair of TDs. Evan Kurth made six tackles while Chad Bowen and Rocco Lore made five stops apiece.

    Mahopac 14, Brewster 13

    Eastchester 20, Clarkstown South 3

    Game story: Eastchester puts away Clarkstown South with 4th-quarter stand and score

    Hackley 2, Rye Country Day 0, forfeit

    Rye Country Day has multiple injured starters and is close to the roster minimum.

    SATURDAY

    Mamaroneck 34, Carmel 33

    Game story: Mamaroneck beats Carmel in last seconds on Prevost field goal

    Poughkeepsie at Albertus Magnus, 1 p.m.

    Dobbs Ferry 42, Woodlands 6

    Killian O'Connor wound up with 112 yards and three touchdowns on 17 carries. Jackson Kearns picked up 96 yards and one TD on nine carries and totaled 226 all-purpose yards. Mike Rodriguez blocked a punt.

    Putnam Valley 49, Hastings 6

    PV: Andre Tarrant had 180 yards and three touchdowns on 11 carries. He also made three tackles, two behind the line of scrimmage. Jack Rund completed 6 of 8 passes for 60 yards and two touchdowns. He also ran for a score. Caden Glenn made seven tackles, five for a loss and knocked down a pass. He picked up 36 yards and one TD on five carries and made three catches for 30 yards and on touchdown. Mike Frye caught a TD pass. Dylan Tucker had a pair of sacks along with a fumble recovery and John Alfaro was 7 for 7 on PATs.

    Pleasantville 14, Ardsley 9

    Ciaran Egan scooped a blocked punt and scored in the final minute of the opening half and recovered a botched Ardsley snap in the end zone early the fourth quarter to move back in front.

    Westlake 33, Pearl River 21

    Ws: Nicholas DiNapoli ran for a touchdown and caught a scoring pass from Brayden Lingeza. He carried 14 times for 103 yards and caught four passes for 32 yards. Harry Hudd finished with 104 yards and two TDs on 12 carries. Matthew Pippo added 32 yards and one touchdown on five carries while Lingeza completed all four of the passes he threw for 32 yards. The offensive line paved the way for 272 rushing yards and 7.0 yards per carry .

    Ossining 18, Yonkers Force 6

    East Ramapo 20, Yonkers Brave 9

    ER: Ziion Osborne gained more than 100 yards and got into the end zone for a pair of touchdowns and a two-point conversion. Davonte Brown caught a 35-yard TD pass from Jonathan Mede. Anthony Mack got two sacks. Osborne and Kameron Van Allan with interceptions. It was the first win since Spring Valley and Ramapo combined before the season.

    Iona Prep 37, St. John the Baptist 7

    IP: Mamadee Sangaray came up with a pair of interceptions and took them both to the house. Julian Guzman threw touchdown passes to Matt Davitt and Crew Davis.

    St. Dominic 19, Kennedy Catholic 6

    KC: Nico Calandrello got the Gaels only TD on an 80-yard kickoff return. Ethan Csakany had eight tackles and one interception.

    Rye Neck 22, Edgemont/Blind Brook 0

    RN: Daniel Saldiveri, Nico Doherty and Samai Phillip each scored a touchdown. Phillip also blocked a punt. Quin Byron had a pair of two-point conversions.

    Sleepy Hollow 27, Croton 6

    Rye 39, Nyack 13

    Peekskill 14, Port Chester 12

    Tuckahoe 12, Haldane 6

    Tk: Declan Connolly had 103 yards and one touchdown on 14 carries. Logan Bogetti added 94 yards on 21 carries. Thaddeus Curylo pushed in for a 2-yard TD run in the fourth quarter. The Tigers limited Haldane to 130 yards. Matt Gardere made nine tackles.

    Hd: Alex Gaugler had the Blue Devils up 6-0 at the half, scoring on a 1-yard run. Nate Stickle was in on 10 tackles.
