Undefeated, St. Louis Slam takes home the hardware
CANTON, OHIO – Once again St. Louis is home to professional football champions. St. Louis Slam earlier this year set out on a quest to win the team’s fifth Women’s Football Alliance championship. Though they’d beaten the Boston Renegades already once this season, they found themselves across from them again with the title “WFA National Champs” on the line.

Hence confident he’s back to form; Cardinals blanked in series finale
SPRINGFIELD–Springfield Cardinals top prospect, Tink Hence, missed more than a month due to injury, but had a stellar debut on the bump Saturday night. Chiefs’ training camp observations from Day 7 on Sunday: 10 risers so far
On Sunday morning, the Kansas City Chiefs returned to their field at Missouri Western State University in St. Joseph for another practice of the team’s 2024 training camp. This was the seventh of 19 public sessions on the practice field next to MWSU’s Spratt Stadium. 11 of the remaining practices will be open to the public — click here for details and a full schedule — while one more will be open only to the team’s Season Ticket Members.
Cardinals parted with longtime reliever for the cheapest possible reason
The St. Louis Cardinals parted ways with Giovanny Gallegos, a member of the bullpen for the last seven years, in an embarrassing cost-cutting measure. Gallegos practically begged to stay in St. Louis on Saturday night but the Cardinals still sent him packing on Sunday. If it had been because of his objectively bad performances of late, it would have made plenty of sense. However, John Denton of MLB.com shed more light on the decision-making process and it's not encouraging.

FIRST WARN FORECAST: Few showers this evening, high heat through Thursday
KANSAS CITY, Mo. (KCTV) - After a pleasant weekend, our attention turns to the extreme heat for the week ahead. Heat alerts are in place Monday through Thursday with intense temperatures and high humidity. Our feels-like temperatures each afternoon should be in the 105-115 range. Please avoid outdoor activities in the heart of the afternoon and early evening as heat-related illness will very much be a concern. Real air temperatures should be in the mid to upper 90s. Some spots, especially on the Kansas side, could be near the 100-degree mark. There are a few small rain and thunderstorm chances over the next few days. Monday has a 30% confidence to see a shower or stray rumble, but a good chunk of the day will be dry. A weak cold front works in later in the day Wednesday, and this could give us another small rain and storm chance. Eventually, lower 90s take back over late this next week and into the upcoming weekend.
